A Nostalgic Reunion at Diwali
Mumbai: The enduring friendship between Bollywood actress Preity Zinta and actor Bobby Deol continues to flourish even after 30 years. Their recent encounter at renowned designer Manish Malhotra's Diwali celebration was a delightful journey down memory lane.
Preity took to social media to express her nostalgia, highlighting the special bond she shares with Bobby and his wife, Tanya. In her heartfelt post, she reminisced about their first meeting at a Diwali party, where she played a small role in igniting their love story, and recalled their time together during the filming of Soldier in Australia, which coincidentally was also their honeymoon.
She wrote, “Some friendships just get better with time. Time has flown, but my love for them has only grown. They are truly made for each other and are the sweetest couple. Reuniting with them after so long brought back the fondest memories. Here’s to friendship, happiness, and love for them and all of you reading this.”

At the festive gathering hosted by Manish Malhotra, Preity dazzled in a sparkling white salwar suit adorned with exquisite gold embroidery, complemented by traditional jhumkas and her iconic dimpled smile.
Bobby looked equally charming in a cream-embroidered kurta paired with a subtle gold stole, while Tanya radiated elegance in a pastel lehenga, embodying the spirit of the celebration. Preity shared moments from the evening, expressing gratitude to the host, stating, “Thank you so much for the most fun night in a very long time. It was awesome catching up with you and everyone else. Happy Diwali and loads of love always.”
For those unaware, Preity and Bobby have not only starred together in Soldier but also in the film Dillagi, where Preity made a cameo appearance. Their friendship, which has lasted over three decades, stands as one of the most cherished in the Hindi film industry.
